Dominican Countryside Adventure & Beach Resort
Join us for a “best of both worlds” cultural, “safari” adventure and resort beach combo! After leaving the port in an air-conditioned mini bus you will travel through the historic downtown of Puerto Plata, then along the Malecon. Your host will provide information regarding the history and culture of the Dominican Republic before you arrive at our village “Rancho”.
Upon arrival you may use the facilities before listening to a safety briefing and orientation. You will then set-off along the country backroads in an open-air, safari vehicle. You will travel through tiny villages, making short stops for photos and information along the way.
Your knowledgeable and enthusiastic host will provide insight into everyday life in the Dominican countryside as well as the various uses, including medicinal, of the plants, flowers and fruits you will encounter.
Back at our rancho, you will sample our local coffee and rum before reboarding your air-conditioned vehicle for the brief drive to the best beach resort area on the north coast.
Once at the Playa Dorada beach resort, your host will serve you our famous rum punch, then you may relax on a complimentary lounger, take a swim in the inviting water or enjoy a stroll along the golden sand. There is also an oceanside beach café and bar serving a wide variety of tempting food and beverages available for purchase at the beach cafe or from your beach server. After ample beach time, you will make the return to the port.
